I’ve not been out much recently due to illness – I had a nasty cold and wasn’t sleeping well. I did manage to get out for a ride yesterday though, I’ve decided to switch to the winter bike full time now and it’s working well with its new headset – I think I need to adjust the saddle a little though. It was very windy yesterday so cycling along the seafront was pretty hard! On the other hand, I managed a year’s best time on one westbound Strava segment – nowhere near my best of course but it was a good workout for my legs! Hopefully I can get out a bit more frequently as I feel better.
I’ve not been cycling much recently as I’ve had a couple of bad weeks sleep-wise – after last week’s 102km I’ve only managed one ride of 63.2km. I might go for a quick ride today just to get a quick workout, but I was up at ridiculous o’clock again and whilst not as tired as yesterday I’m not sure if I should go for it or not.
It’s very frustrating as I had all these plans to start getting fitter but as my youngest son isn’t sleeping it throws everything out. Hopefully this period will pass soon and my training can get back on track. Speaking of track, I still have my velodrome session to book!
